TITLE: CALL UPON ME

DATE: MONDAY FEBRUARY 22, 2021

TEXT: Psalm 91:15-16

KEY VERSE: Psalm 50:15 ‘And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.’

Psalm 62:8, 11 Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah. God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God. My child, call upon Me as soon as any hurtful or overwhelming situation arises – firstly so that you may learn the lesson I have for you in it; secondly so that I may break the pattern of events before it becomes too burdensome for you. You know that I am more than equal to all the things which may threaten you or make you anxious. They remain – by My permission – for just as long as they can further My plans for you – and for others. As you pray about everything, you will increasingly be able to simply watch the answers to those prayers come!

2 Corinthians 1:9-10 But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead: Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us. Trust is so often formed by difficulties and setbacks. It is something which remains, even when My way does not bring the results which have been sought! To go on trusting, when no obvious advantage is gained from doing so, is the real trust which I require, and which I can always honour. The way of trust must be followed in every conceivable situation upon earth – every relationship, every encounter, and every problem. My Children should constantly practice the affirming of complete confidence in Me – giving Me often the glance of utter trusting love. That confidence can never be misplaced. Amen!

Thought for the day: The God we serve is a prayer-answering God.

Song for the day: Call upon me, in the day of trouble, call upon me, I will answer you.
