EVERY WORD OF GOD FOR DAILY LIVING BY PASTOR PAUL RIKA:

TITLE: CHRISTIAN COMPORTMENT IN THE CHURCH

DATE: SATURDAY MAY 8 2021

TEXT: Ecclesiastes 5: 1-6

KEY VERSE: I Peter 5: 6 ‘Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:’

The Lord is holy, and He will judge unrighteousness. Therefore, let us fear and depart from all forms of evil or any association that will disrupt or hinder the progress of the Lord’s work. Let us exercise care and ensure that we keep ourselves from selfish ambitions and purge ourselves from every form of carnality and anything that can hinder the work of God or invoke the His wrath against His people.
If you feel you are not recognized or appreciated for your labour, wait on the Lord and let Him promote you. In due time as you humble yourself the Lord will lift you up. Despite all the signs and great works the Lord has done and is still doing, it will surprise you to know that there are some among us who still have doubts about the standard of holiness that the Lord is demanding from us.

For such people, if anyone rises up and declares something different, they readily go back to their sins, such as sinful dressing, make-up, wrong marriage, etc. Does it mean that these people have not yet understood righteousness or have they chosen to blind their eyes and heart to the truth of God and continue in darkness? They delight in unrighteousness, harden their hearts, and choose darkness rather than light. John.3: 19-20 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. Humble yourself and serve Him, be contented with what has been allotted to you and be very peaceful. Honor those whom the Lord has promoted, serve them and obey them. It shall be well with you.
