TITLE: DO NOT REJECT THE TRUTH OF GOD
DATE: WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 24, 2021
TEXT: Hebrews 3:7-12
KEY VERSE: Hebrews 12:25 ‘See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:’
Today’s text says, “Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the Living God.” An evil heart makes you disbelieve God. An evil heart makes you depart from the Living God. Disbelief! Depart!! You first disbelieve, then you depart. Both disbelief and departing are coming from a heart, and that heart is in an evil condition. If you are already disbelieving, your next game will take place at a later time and that will be departing. In fact, as you disbelieve, you have begun your departure. Hebrews 3:18, 19 “And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.” Why are you disbelieving the teaching we are given you? Why do you disbelieve the prophecies that God gives us here? Why do you disbelieve the revelations God has given to Holiness Revival Movement for your righteousness, comfort and edification? Why are you disbelieving the promises of God? Why do you disbelieve the doctrine of truth that we are giving you? By that disbelief, you have already departed from the Living God because these things come from God.
God is the one teaching them. He is the one revealing them. He is the one telling us to say them and now that you are disbelieving Him you think you are disbelieving us? No, by disbelieving you are actually departing from the Living God. This unbelief is the seed Satan planted in your heart because he finds the place fertile for it to grow. Why make your heart a fertile ground for Satan to sow his evil seed? Out of unbelief, bible says many disciples stopped following Jesus. They complained, “This is an hard saying; who can hear it?” This was over 2,000 years ago. Where are they now? Are they not all damned forever in hell? Why not follow the example of Nicodemus? He came to Jesus in ignorance but left with the knowledge God’s truth which brought him great joy and eternal life.
