TITLE: GOD IS LOOKING FOR THE RIGHT MAN
THURSDAY, AUGUST 12th 2021
TEXT: Psalm 106:21-23 KJV
21 They forgat God their saviour, which had done great things in Egypt;
22 Wondrous works in the land of Ham, and terrible things by the Red sea.
23 Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy them.
Key verse: Ezekiel 22:30 And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none
Today’s key verse signifies the yearnings in the heart of God. He is looking for the right man, the right woman to use to serve his purpose in every dispensation on earth. He is looking for the right person that will produce good results for him in His mission on earth. From multiple races, tribes and classes among the billions of people on earth, God is looking for just a man or woman that will serve His purpose. God is looking for the right man. The land needs a man! America needs a man. Nigeria needs a man. China needs a man. Get the right man and it shall be done. You will see things change. You will see a spiritual transformation. This is God at work! How many Beings is the Lord your God? Just one and the whole creation was made by Him alone. How many Satan do we have? Just one, and we see the degree of damage he is doing. One evil man can cause much damage. The Bible says “one sinner destroyeth much good” (Ecclesiastes 9:18). One sinner can cause much havoc in the society but get one righteous man, great construction shall be done to the society, to the nation.
Why didn’t God allow Lot and his family to be destroyed among the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah? There was a man named Abraham who stood in the gap for the family of Lot and the Lord delivered that family. God was seeking for a man that would stand between Him and the land, that will prevail upon Him so that He would not destroy the land, and Abraham played that role. The story was told of a pastor that was doing well in his ministry. The word was preached, signs and wonders were being performed but there came a time that everything became stagnated so he went to the Lord and asked, “Why am I not seeing progress anymore?” The Lord said, “Do you remember that old woman that died in your church? That was the person that stood between me and the church. She stood on me to bless the church, to bless your ministry, and to bring progress to the church. Because of her prayer and intercession, I spared the church and your ministry was experiencing steady progress. But now that the woman is gone, no one replaced her.”
Thought for the day: Are you ready to be that man, that woman God is looking for to make that difference?
