TITLE: IT IS NOT GOOD TO BE WITHOUT KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH OF GOD

KEY VERSE: Proverbs 19:2 ‘Also, that the soul be without knowledge, it is not good; and he that hasteth with his feet sinneth.’
Knowledge is good; that is what the Bible says. It is not good that a man be without knowledge, and the Bible says that in the latter times knowledge shall increase. Knowledge of discoveries is a good thing; otherwise, there will not be advancement in human society. Yet, Satan often takes advantage of this to introduce his vices to humanity in order to lead them into bondage. Let us look at water as an example. God created water for our good. You can go to the river and use the water to take your bath, or to wash clothes, or to swim, or for any other profitable use. But Satan has made human beings to fear a body of water because of mammy water spirits. They will say, ‘Don’t go there, mammy water spirits are in there!’ Satan has laid claim to almost every pool of water by showing human beings that his kingdom is inside the water. Who gave him that power? God created water for man, not for Satan. With this knowledge you can go to any body of water and do that which is natural, which will minister to your good, and minister to the wellbeing of others. You are not sinning!
In the same way, people are thinking ‘Oh! All these medicines, all these drugs, all these herbs, all these leaves that they are mixing; it is the handiwork of Satan!’ What makes it Satan? Did Satan create them? No! They are the handiwork of God, and God has made them good. It is Satan that is taking advantage of these to promote his name. So we should take note of that. God leads man instinctively, and by other means, to discover that which is good for his life. Medicine has been a practice for long in the world. It is God that directs man on how to discover the things He has put in His world in order to use them for the good of man, and for His glory. Isaiah 28:26 For his God doth instruct him to discretion, and doth teach him. You may be wondering, “How did man come up with the knowledge of airplanes in the air, the ships on the sea, and the vehicles on the road, and medicines to heal various ailments?” It is God! But Satan hates everything good and never wants anything beneficial to mankind. Anything good, he converts to achieve an evil purpose. If he quotes from Scriptures, it is to confuse man. Only the knowledge of truth can deliver you from Satan.
Thought for the day: Knowledge of God’s truth will liberate you from spiritual bondage.
