EVERY WORD OF GOD FOR DAILY LIVING BY PASTOR PAUL RIKA:

TITLE: LET YOUR OBEDIENCE BE TOTAL AND COMPLETE
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 5TH, 2021
TEXT: 1 SAMUEL 15:20-23 KJV
20) And Saul said unto Samuel, Yea, I have obeyed the voice of the Lord, and have gone the way which the Lord sent me, and have brought Agag the king of Amalek, and have utterly destroyed the Amalekites.
21) But the people took of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the chief of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice unto the Lord thy God in Gilgal.
22) And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
23) For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king.
KEY VERSE: JEREMIAH 7:23
But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.
The old ways are the right ways. The old ways are the true ways. The old ways are the ways of eternal life. Seek the old ways, the old paths and walk in it and you will find rest for your soul. Jeremiah 6:16 Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, “We will not walk therein.” When the people in the old-time failed, they were doomed; they were destroyed by the flood and were wiped out except for eight people. God does not change as expressed in the scripture below.
MALACHI 3:6
For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
