TITLE: SATANIC STRATEGIES OF DESTROYING GOD’S MINISTRIES

DATE: SATURDAY APRIL 24 2021

TEXT: REVELATION 17:1-2

KEY VERSE: “With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication” (Revelation 17:2).

This evil woman from our text has destroyed many saints, remember that they were Christians, therefore be careful with your soul. Let us discuss some strategies used to deceived people:

1. Envy and jealousy – Genesis 4:1-8 Cain killed his brother because of envy and jealousy. The same envy and jealousy made Joseph’s brothers to sell him because Joseph said, “My sheaf stood upright and eleven sheaves bowed to mine”. Also, “The sun, the moon and eleven stars bowed to me.”
2. Temptation of sin – Genesis 39:7 Pharaoh’s wife, Potiphar was excellently beautiful and Joseph was wonderfully handsome. It was Satan that was using the face of the beautiful woman to try to remove the star of God from Joseph.
3. Conspiracy – Exodus 1:15-17 The devil uses people close to you, those who serve you, those that give you food. Please be careful. Many careless people have gone the way of Samson who died before his time.
4. Evil counselors – 2 Samuel 15:12; 16:4 There was a conspiracy between Absalom and Ahithophel, against David to be king, he employed the services of Ahithophel, David’s counselor to advise him. Note that the devil can use someone very close to you, your spouse, your special sponsor etc.
5. Negotiation – Judas negotiated to sell our Master Jesus to the enemies. Do not negotiate the integrity of your Christian life. Your soul is so precious, do not compromise for a plate of pottage.

Thought of the day: The evil one made many saints to drink of her fornication. Please beware!

Song of the day: Unto Thee O Lord, do I lift up my soul…
